O.k., by now we've all read the end of the year Best Of 2013 music lists from all the reliable tastemaker sources (Paste, Magnet, NPR, CMJ, Pitchfork, etc...), and, as per usual, the same handful of albums get mentioned on most of the lists.
(btw- if you'd like to know they compile these VERY SCIENTIFIC end of the year lists, here's the template)
So, yeah, Chvrches, blah blah blah.
I liked it better when it was called Erasure. Andy Bell was at least a gloriously flamboyant vocalist, unlike the generic, Disney radio sounding vocalist for Chvrches.
Arcade Fire?
As a good friend of mine recently said, "Arcade Fire's like some obscure disco group you'd see in the background  of some bad movie from the early 80s"
Disclosure?
Where were you guys when Rick Danger, Tony T Fernandez, and myself were playing this stuff at Club Parliament in 1993?
Haim?
Seriously? Not even going to dignify...
POINT BEING...
All these lists are merely a prelude for when the fat lady sings tonight as POP Goes The World  delivers the only Best Of 2013 show that truly matters!
Don't Believe me?
Talk to me in 20 years, and we'll see which music actually held up.
